On Wednesday, 26th February, we had the privilege of officiating the Continental School Under 18s Plate Semi-Final match between Dauntsey’s School and Skinner’s School from Royal Tunbridge Wells. The game proved to be a fantastic advertisement for schoolboy rugby, showcasing impressive skills and determination. In a fiercely contested battle, Dauntsey’s edged out their opponents with a final score of 23 points to 14.
Ben Pomeroy led the refereeing team with Rhys Cleary and Simon Reeves assisting him throughout the match. Nick Heath, Ben’s dedicated coach, was also present at the fixture to support the group as they navigated through this important game.
Marcus Olsen, Director of Sport at Dauntsey’s school, sent the following to Ben, Rhys & Si following the game ‘On behalf of Dauntsey’s School – a massive thank you for yesterday – it was a great occasion. I am obviously delighted with the result, but the whole day was a great advert for schoolboy rugby. I cannot thank you enough for the way you managed the game – it was all very professional and all our staff and Skinner’s staff were hugely impressed.’
Well done to all those involved in the game.
